Applied Systems Launches New Agency Management System

University Park, Ill.-based insurance technology company Applied Systems Inc.'s Epic system, an automated agency management system, is now in general release. The release follows more than four years of intense development and testing by professional staff as well as agent and broker customers, according to the vendor.

Epic is built on entirely new architecture to provide the features, functions and growth capabilities that agents and brokers have requested via hundreds of meetings and more than 100,000 individual product requests, Applied Systems claims.

The vendor describes the system as a rich Internet application that is scalable to agencies and brokerages of any size. The new technology platform provides for easier administration, lower cost of ownership and increased efficiency and productivity, according to Applied Systems.
