Benefitfocus.com - Electronic Invoice Presentment/Payment
Charleston, S.C. - Insurance enrollment and benefit solutions provider Benefit-focus.com reports that, according to the U.S. Census Bureau, 31 percent of healthcare expenditures are a result of administrative costs. In response, the vendor is offering Benefitfocus eBilling, an electronic invoice presentment and payment (EIPP) application designed for insurance carriers and their customers. The product offers three main components: Web-based invoicing, automated reconciliation and online bill pay.
The EIPP solution is designed to interface with legacy systems and enrollment systems through flexible Web-based features. It also features the Benefitfocus Enrollment Application to automatically transmit changes in benefits and generate new invoices. Benefit-focus.com estimates that e-billing saves insurers $9.50 per invoice.
