EMPLOYERS Appoints SVP, Chief Claims Officer

Small-business insurer EMPLOYERS has announced the appointment of Barry J. Vogt to SVP and chief claims officer. He brings over 29 years of experience in insurance and progressive management to the company.

As manager of the claim operations group, Vogt will be responsible for claims strategy, catastrophic claim management, claim controls, medical management and managed care strategy, fraud investigations, subrogation effectiveness and regulatory compliance. He has previously held management positions at various companies including Sedgwick Claims Management Services and Crawford & Company.
