Esurance Launches Windows Phone 7 Application

San Francisco-based auto carrier Esurance has released a version of its Esurance Mobile app for Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 operating system. The app is also available for Apple iOS devices, including the iPhone and iPad.

In addition to allowing users to get quotes and connect with customer service representatives, customers can access ID cards, view their coverages and make payments. After claims are filed, policyholders can also view their vehicles as they are being repaired, and contact their dedicated claims representatives.

“Our new application for Windows Phone 7 is another step for us in providing innovative, easy-to-use products and services to our customers, and it builds on the success of our current mobile platform. We see more and more consumers are relying on technology to meet their car insurance needs and we are working to stay ahead of that trend,” Esurance CIO Phil Swift says in a statement.

Esurance was selected as a premier launch application by Microsoft and was granted early access to the new platform, according to a release.
