Esurance Signs Perot Systems to Five-Year IT Services Agreement
Direct auto insurance marketer Esurance (San Francisco, a subsidiary of the White Mountains Insurance Group) has awarded a five-year IT application and hosting agreement to Perot Systems (Plano, Texas). The agreement calls for Perot Systems to migrate and host Esurance's PeopleSoft (Oracle, Redwood Shores, Calif.) application as well as provide service desk assistance, according to a Perot Systems press release. The companies declined to disclose the terms of the deal.
"We look forward to working with Perot Systems," comments Dick Warren, Vice President and Controller, Esurance. "They have the stability and experience we are seeking, and like us, they are committed to reducing their environmental impact."
Perot Systems, which Perot Systems provides a variety of business process, consulting, application and infrastructure solutions to insurance carriers and currently manages over 3,000,000 policies for more than 30 insurance companies globally, announced today that Dell (Round Rock, Texas) will acquire Perot Systems for $3.9 billion.
