Safeco (Seattle) appointed Myron Hendry as SVP of service. Hendry formerly was SVP of worldwide operations for CNA (Chicago), where he oversaw processing of the carrier's P&C business.

Hartford Adds VP

The Hartford Financial Services Group (Hartford) named Jeffrey Carleton as VP and director of distribution for individual life. Carleton formerly was VP of life insurance sales at MassMutual (Boston).

RBC Names Black

RBC Insurance (Greenville, S.C.) named R. David Black as president and CEO of its Liberty Life Insurance Co. subsidiary. Black previously served as VP, secretary and general counsel for Liberty Life.

McDonald Joins Jefferson Pilot

Donald McDonald joined Greensboro, N.C.-based Jefferson Pilot Financial as the carrier's EVP and chief investment officer. McDonald most recently was EVP and chief investment officer for Conning Asset Management (Hartford).

Lawson Hire

Brad Callahan has been appointed EVP of services for Lawson Software (St. Paul). Callahan joins Lawson from CapGemini.

Allenbrook Appointments

Brunswick, Maine-based Allenbrook appointed Duncan Law as VP of sales and marketing services, and named Vance Huntley as VP of product management.
