GEICO Names SVP and CIO

Greg Kalinsky, who took the job over officially Sept. 13, had been VP of the company's west coast operations.

Washington, D.C.-based GEICO has named Greg Kalinsky SVP and CIO with responsibilities for the company’s information technology operations, according to a company statement.

Kalinsky began his new position on September 13. Previously, he was vice president of the company's west coast operations at the company’s San Diego regional office. Also in his GEICO career, which began in the mail room, he has been a vice president for the corporate underwriting department and served in the general counsel’s office.

GEICO added two executives to its IT department in June.
