Humana Appoints Goldman Sachs Vet SVP and CFO

Humana has announced the appointment of Brian A. Kane to the position of SVP and CFO, effective June 2014. Kane will serve on Humana’s management team, which determines strategic direction.

Kane has extensive experience in finance and strategic development, primarily driven by his investment banking experience at Goldman, Sachs & Co.. There, he worked across multiple industries including financial institutions, health insurance, consumer retail and real estate. Kane also served as the head financial advisor on many strategic transactions within the managed care industry.

“I am excited to have Brian joining our leadership team,” said Humana president and CEO Bruce Broussard. “He brings financial and strategic breadth that will nicely complement the operational depth of [interim CFO] Steve McCulley.”

McCulley will continue his role as Humana’s chief accounting officer and serve on its management team when Kane joins the company.
