Jeff Stoll Retires From MetLife but Remains Active in Insurance
For some, retirement means more time on the golf course and a general slowdown in activity. But for Elite 8 2006 honoree Jeff Stoll, who took early retirement from his role as senior vice president and CIO, individual business IT, at MetLife, effective Sept. 1, the concept of retirement just means that he's moving in a new direction.
Stoll, who was at the helm of MetLife's individual business IT organization during a period of significant merger and acquisition activity, legacy consolidation, and modernization efforts, and also served as CIO of Kemper Insurance and AIG's Domestic Brokerage Group earlier in his career, seems to be reluctant to walk away from all the action. He remains active in the insurance industry, serving on various advisory boards, and is a member of the board of directors at ACORD. Stoll says he currently is considering some options in an advisory role in insurance-related industries.
