Leigh Ann Pusey to Become AIA President and CEO
Leigh Ann Pusey will become president and chief executive officer of the American Insurance Association (Washington, D.C.), effective February 1, 2009. She will succeed Governor Marc Racicot, who will leave the AIA after serving in this position for more than three years.
Pusey is currently the association's chief operating officer and senior vice president for government affairs.
"For more than a decade, Leigh Ann has been instrumental in guiding the strategic direction of AIA's advocacy efforts in our nation's capital and around the country," says Evan Greenberg, Chairman of the American Insurance Association (AIA) and Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of ACE Limited. "The transition to her new role as president and chief executive leaves the association well-positioned to continue its mission as the leading public policy advocate for the property-casualty insurance industry.
