Lou Geremia Named CEO of InsureMe

Lou Geremia has been named chief executive officer of InsureMe (New York), Bankrate's insurance division.

Geremia will replace InsureMe's founder, Tim McTavish when he steps down from the CEO position on January 31. Robin Paquette, the company's COO, will also step down on the same day.

Geremia joined InsureMe in 2008 as chief revenue officer. Prior to InsureMe, Geremia was co-founder and president of Insurance.com (Newton, Mass.),from 1999 until its sale to ComparisonMarket in 2003. He stayed on at ComparisonMarket, which was renamed Insurance.com, overseeing business development, partner relations and online marketing programs. Prior to Insurance.com, Mr. Geremia was senior vice president at Banc One/First USA Bank, and also has held marketing and strategy positions with Fidelity Investments, Providian Direct Insurance and Travelers Life Insurance.
