Central Benefits Mutual Insurance Co. (Columbus, OH) will utilize Phoenix-based Syntellect Inc.'s natural language VISTA Interactive Media Response.

GMAC PICKS SMARTCODE

Charlotte, NC-based Information Architects' SmartCode Framework has been chosen by Detroit-based GMAC Insurance Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Motors. GMAC will use SmartCode Framework to aggregate and Internet-enable mainframe data.

BCBSM PICKS SYSCOM

SYSCOM (Baltimore) will provide complete systems integration for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan(BCBSM, Detroit).

SHERWOOD CONTRACTS

Sherwood International (Armonk, NY) has completed five-year licensing agreements for its SENATOR reinsurance product with Overseas Partners Re Ltd. Bermuda (Hamilton) and Overseas Partners Reinsurance Co. (Philadelphia).

Zurich-based Swiss Re has signed a $3 million contract with Montreal-based Cognicase Inc., a provider of transaction processing solutions and Internet-based applications.

LINCOLN TAPS FORESIGHT

Colorado Springs, CO-based Insurance Technologies' ForeSight Enterprise has been purchased by the annuities operation of Fort Wayne, IN-based Lincoln Financial Group. Initially, Lincoln Financial will implement ForeSight for the company's variable and fixed annuities.
