Prosperity Life Names Allstate Vet CEO

Prosperity Life Insurance Group has appointed Anurag Chandra as CEO. He will lead ongoing organic and inorganic growth initiatives at Prosperity, which acquired Shenandoah Life Insurance in 2012 and is pending acquisition of SBLI USA Mutual Life Insurance Company.

Chandra comes to Prosperity from Allstate Financial, where he was appointed COO in 2011 and most recently served as EVP and COO of its life insurance, retirement and voluntary benefits business. He previously worked as EVP and COO at HealthMarkets, where he helped lead a successful business transformation.

“Anurag has a proven track record of success in achieving significant growth and generating strong financial performance while ensuring prudent risk management and excellence in insurance regulatory compliance,” said Matt Popoli, director of Prosperity, in a statement.
