WellPoint Appoints Andrew Lang Senior Vice President of Application Development

Andrew (A.J.) Lang has been named senior vice president of Application Development at WellPoint, Inc. (Indianapolis). In this role, Lang will be responsible for the development and support of all of WellPoint's systems.

Prior to his appointment, Lang was vice president of Information Technology Services at Cargill, responsible for leading a core global infrastructure and enterprise services organization. Before Cargill, Lang was department head for systems architecture and application development at Aetna and an executive vice president of information, delivery and payment systems at U.S. Bancorp. Lang also held senior positions at Visa International and IBM.

Throughout his career, Lang has been recognized for his track record in driving technical, cultural and operational transformation and the on-time delivery of mission critical business programs. He has wide-ranging expertise leading enterprise architecture, applications design and development, data center, network, engineering and testing organizations.
